Säberg Coating Drill or short Coating Drill is an innovation based on patents. An instrument for accurate measurements, “on site”or on lab, of individual layers: primer, under coat and top coat on different substrates like steel, galvanized steel, wood, concrete and plastic.

The fim thickness measurement is carried out according to ISO 2808. You bore a small hole and use a measuring microscope. Measuring range 2µm - 2000µm.

A further development of the method is a computerized system for Coating Drill where you can measure individual coating films and visualize, make photo documentation and store the status of the different films (thickness and color).
